Did you Know?
Rather than preventing sound transmission, solid surfaces such as adjoining walls and studs actually serve as avenues through which sound energy freely travels between rooms. Noise bleed between adjoining walls is one of the most common problems we help people like you solve every day. While sound proof sheetrock can help mitigate this problem, so too can the use of mass loaded vinyl, which can produce more favorable results for less cost.
The key to effective wall soundproofing is implementing a treatment designed to counteract your walls’ natural tendency to conduct sound vibration. NetWell Noise Control specializes in just that, and our team of soundproofing experts is standing by to help you develop an effective soundproofing solution based on your project’s unique requirements and budget.

What about pre-engineered drywall?
This material also serves to add density to your wall surface, in the same manner that dB-Bloc does. The advantage in the dB-Bloc treatment is that the density is "pulled out" of the drywall, and separated by a dead air gap. This new air gap gives the structure borne vibrations a chance to collapse. The gap is "backed" by the density of dB-Bloc and "fronted" by the density of standard 5/8" drywall. A feature you don't get with pre-engineered drywall alone, with the added benefit of buying standard drywall, not the more expensive pre-engineered.
Though combating sound transmission through walls is a common application, each project is unique in terms of goals, budget, room size, surface textures as well as the position of openings such as doors and windows. A member of our team will personally work with you to develop an effective, customized soundproofing solution to accomplish your goals within your budget.
