Simply rest these Ceiling Caps atop your existing ceiling tiles to help combat the bleed of noise in or out through your ceiling. We cut these tiles in 2'x2' or 2'x4' sizes depending on the size of your grid system. We also have Shrouds that are oversized 30" x 54" sections designed to rest atop any florescent lights. Place the material barrier side down, facing the fiberglass side up towards your plenum area to absorb noise trapped in your crawl space.
Please note!
Ceiling Caps weigh 1 pound per sq foot. Your ceiling grid system is designed to support lightweight tiles, but not these sound barrier weighted Caps. Be sure to, at a minimum, double up on the hangers you are using to support the grid, so that in turn, the grid can support the additional weight from the Ceiling Caps.
