Light Cannister Canopies by NetWell Noise Control combine acoustical sound barrier lagging custom cut to the exterior cavity size of the metal box shown above.   The box is cut to inset between exposed ceiling joists that measure either 16" or 24" on center.    Simply wrap the sound jacket around the box, and anchor the box mechanically by screwing its lip to the bottom of the exposed joist.   Position one box above each light cannister location prior to finishing off your ceiling.    This is an ideal compliment to the sound barrier treatment featured in our Ceilings section of this website.    The Canopies help seal the treatment and prevent the bleed of noise through your ceiling cutouts.
