These Canopies are designed to mount atop ceiling exhaust fans to help combat the bleed of noise through this cutout in a finished ceiling treatment. The material is shipped to you flat. Simply velcro the seams together to form the acoustical cup shape, and rest the Canopie atop your exhaust fan prior to finishing off your ceiling. This is an ideal compliment to a full ceiling barrier treatment where exhaust fan noise and the cutout into your finished ceiling could otherwise bleed noise upstairs.
