Soundproofing Challenge:
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory based in Oak Ridge Tennessee had four separate pump rooms that were bleeding noise into adjoining offices locations. They contacted NetWell Noise Control for help in isolating the noise to create a more productive work environment for their employees.

The Result:
The QBS-1 blanket treatment triggers on average a 15-20 dB drop. By suspending these sound control curtains against the common walls of each pump room, they are able to trigger up to a 90% drop in decibel level exposure bleeding into the adjoining rooms.

The Treatment:
A series of QBS-1 sound control blankets were custom cut to match the cavity size of each surrounding wall within each of the four pump rooms. These noise control curtains suspend via grommets from the top of the wall, with their edges velcroed for interconnection. Additional blankets were custom cut to match the cavity size of the door.
