Collin County Chinese Fellowship Hall
|
The Challenge:
The Collin County Chinese Fellowship Hall is a renovated rectangular shaped room that serves as a worship center for thousands of church goers in Plano, Texas. They called NetWell Noise Control seeking help at controlling the unwelcome levels of background noise that were interfering with their worship services.

The Treatment:
A series of vertically suspended VET Baffles were installed between the exposed metal joists in the ceiling. The goal with the baffles was to slow down the ambient reverberations in the room reflecting off the metal roof deck. The baffles were suspended in a non-parallel fashion to prevent the "combing" effect of noise bleeding up and down throughout the room without ever being intercepted by the baffles.

|
The Result:
VET Baffles treatments target the delivery of a reverberation time of under 2.0 seconds. The results with this particular treatment delviered these results, returning the room to a comfortable level for worship services. While the background noise disappeared, clarity returned to original speech, and musical tones produced maximum harmonic tones.
