The Challenge:
The Forest Grove SDA Church contacted NetWell Noise Control seeking help and advice on how to condition their multipurpose room for better sound control. This facility hosts social gatherings, children's activities, weddings, music and a variety of other events. Unwanted levels of background noise were causing disruptions to their events and threatening the future success of the facility. NetWell was asked to help improve the sound in the room.

The Result:
Following the installation of the set of Ceiling Clouds shown above, the room's reverberation times collapsed down to controllable levels. Properly treated rooms for sound reflections will deliver reverb times of less than 2.0 seconds. Now when the room fills with people, background noise is held to a minimum as people can converse without the need to shout over one another's voice reflections in order to carry conversations. In addition, public speakers deliver more speech clarity and musical tones become more harmonic. The Ceiling Clouds are easy to install, class A fire rated, and available n 48 colors.

The Treatment:
The above picture reveals a vaulted roof that hovers over a large, expansive multipurpose room. Unwanted sound reflections were concentrating in the middle of the room off these inclined surfaces. Our goal was to collapse this reverberation with the installation of a set of suspended Ceiling Clouds. The Clouds are designed to capture the unwanted sound reflections, convert the sound energy into kinetic energy, and deliver a controlled sound environment back into the room.
