The Challenge:
Oasis Computer is based in San Diego, CA. Due to the expansion of their business, additional employees were hired and shared office space inside their computer room. Management's concern grew as the volume of noise from their server racks began to impede the productivity of the new employees. They contacted NetWell Noise Control for assistance in controlling sound exposure levels in this room.

The Result:
We had to be careful to not impede the airflow for ventilation into the server racks. Therefore the blankets could not cover 100% of the area to combat the noise. We placed the Pyramids Plus against the back wall to help reduce the amount of spillage around the blankets. The combined treatment triggered an 80% drop in the sound level exposures, and offered Oasis the opportunity to position new employees within 10' of the server rack.

The Treatment:
The image to the left shows a clean white QBS blanket suspended in front of the computer server rack shown above, and a corresponding set of white Melamine Foam Pyramid Plus panels applied to the back two adjacent walls. The blankets contain the noise and protect the employees, while the Pyramids absorb the trapped energy to minimize the bleed of leaking noise that might spill around the sides of the blankets. Oasis started by suspending a PVC pipe from the ceiling of the facility in order to hold the weight of the QBS blankets. They submitted the blanket dimensions required, and adhered the Pyramids Plus to the back walls while they awaited the arrival of their blankets. Both products offer a clean look, a class A fire rating, and combined to deliver a more controlled sound environment.
