Soundproofing a MultiPurpose Room

A multipurpose room is designed to cater to a variety of events that will all create noise.   From sporting events to musicals, band concerts to speaking engagements, or wedding receptions to daycare activity, this general purpose room is a magnet for unwanted sound reflections.   Our sound proofing goal with mulitpurpose room design is to improve the quality of the sound within the room regardless of the event being held and deliver good room acoustics.

Soundproofing Treatment:

By installing a series of wall or ceiling mounted acoustical panels or wallcoverings in the room, the reflecting sounds produced within the room will experience a collapse in reverberation time.    This will help clear out the background noise and lower the decibel level exposure in the room.    The product options for improving multipurpose room acoustics are listed in the NetWell Noise Control Product Bin.

Acoustic Result:

By controlling the reverberation time in a multi purpose room, the background noise levels subside as normal conversational tones return to the room.    This will lower the decibel level exposure in the room producing great acoustics for speech clarity, for blending harmonic musical tones, and making the room comfortable for large groups of people.   Simulated results for soundproofing a multipurpose room are broadcast in our Sound Chamber.
